Privacy policy

What عروض سوريا collects while you browse, what it does with it, and what it never does.

Last updated 12 September 2026

The short version

  • You can browse every offer, search, and reach a merchant without giving us anything. No page on this site or in the app asks you to sign in first.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to advertisers.
  • There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no social widgets on these pages.
  • An account is optional. It keeps offers and follows categories for you; nothing you can see here requires one.

Who this is about

عروض سوريا — this website and the mobile app of the same name — is operated by Syria Deals. This policy explains what each of them collects, and why.

When you browse

Browsing is anonymous. We do not ask who you are, and nothing on a public page depends on knowing. Three things are recorded anyway, and these are all of them:

  • The ordinary record any web server keeps of a request: the page asked for, the time, the address it came from and the browser that sent it. It is used to serve the page and to keep the service running.
  • A count that an offer was seen or acted on. Your address and your browser are never stored beside it in readable form: each is turned into a one-way code, particular to this country's site, that cannot be turned back into the original and cannot be matched to you anywhere else.
  • The language you chose, so the site opens in it next time.

Those counts are added up into daily totals for each offer. They are not used to build a profile of you, and not used to target advertising.

When you call, message or visit a merchant

Calling a merchant, opening a chat with them, opening their location on a map, opening their website and sharing an offer are each counted, so a merchant can see how much interest their listing drew. What is counted is the action and the offer — never who you are, and never what you said.

Those actions hand you to someone else — a phone app, a messaging app, a map, another website. What happens after that is between you and them, under their terms and their privacy policy rather than this one.

In the mobile app

The عروض سوريا app shows the same directory and is used without signing in. It carries no advertising service and no analytics service of any kind.

  • Offers you save in the app are stored on your phone, not on our servers. Removing the app removes them.
  • The app does not create or send a device identifier or an advertising identifier. The counting described above applies to it in the same way, through the same one-way code.
  • It asks for no device permissions — no location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone. Tapping a call, a map or a chat hands the action to the app on your phone that already does that.

If you create an account

An account is optional, and it exists to keep things for you. Creating one stores:

  • Your email address and your name. The password is kept only as a one-way hash — it cannot be read back, by us or by anyone who obtained the file.
  • The offers you saved.
  • The categories and merchants you follow, and how you asked to hear about them: in the site, by email, or by browser notification.
  • The date, and the address you were using, when you agreed to receive those notifications. That record is what shows the agreement was given, so it is kept for as long as the account exists.

If you report an offer or write to us

Reporting an offer sends us the offer, a reason, and whatever you typed — including a way to reach you if you chose to leave one, which is optional. Staff read it to check the listing, and it is used for nothing else.

Cookies

This website uses three cookies, and all three are needed for it to work:

  • One remembers which language you chose.
  • One keeps you signed in, if you signed in. It is set only then, cannot be read by scripts in the page, and is cleared when you sign out.
  • One protects the site's forms against being submitted from another site in your name.

There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. The fonts and everything else a page needs are served from this site rather than fetched from another company.

What it is used for

  • Running the directory: showing offers, searching them, remembering your language.
  • Telling merchants and advertisers how their listings did, as totals: how many times an offer was seen, called about, or shared. Never as a list of people.
  • Sending only what you asked for: a verification message, a notification about something you follow, an answer to something you sent us.
  • Keeping the service up and stopping abuse: request limits, and setting aside traffic that is automated rather than a person.

What is never done

  • Your personal information is never sold, rented, or handed to an advertiser.
  • No advertising network, tracking kit or social-media widget runs on these pages or inside the app.
  • Nothing is bought or sold here. This is a directory: no cart, no checkout, no orders — so no card or bank detail is ever asked for or held.
  • Nothing here is combined with data bought elsewhere to profile you, and nothing follows you onto other websites.

Who else sees it

Very few, and none of them for their own purposes:

  • Merchants and advertisers see totals about their own listings. They are not shown who you are, and there is nothing there to show.
  • The companies that host the service and deliver our email or notifications handle what is needed to do that, on our instructions and nothing more.
  • A lawful request, properly served, from an authority entitled to make it.

How long it is kept

  • Measurement records are kept for a limited period, set for this deployment, and are then deleted in whole blocks rather than aged out row by row. What remains afterwards is the daily totals, which are counts with nothing in them that points at a person.
  • Account information is kept while the account exists. Ask for it to be deleted and it goes.
  • Reports and messages you send are kept while they are useful for handling the listing, and in our record of what was sent, which staff read for support.

Your choices

Whatever the law where you live gives you, these are always available:

  • Ask what is held about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Correct anything that is wrong. Your password can be changed in your account; for anything else, write to us.
  • Ask for your account and everything attached to it to be deleted. There is no button for this yet — a person handles the request.
  • Stop notifications: change or remove what you follow in your account, or use the unsubscribe link in any notification email — that link works without signing in.

How it is protected

Traffic runs over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes rather than as text. Sign-in tokens are stored hashed, expire, and reusing one ends the session. The administration console is reachable only by named staff, and what they change is logged.

Children

This is a directory of shops and their offers, written for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from one. If you believe a child has created an account here, write to us and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. Using the site or the app after that means the new version applies.
